Work and development
Graduates research industries, build financial models and analyse economic questions involving valuation, commercial disputes and regulation. Training includes support towards ACA or CFA qualifications and a dedicated coach. Build a convincing analytical example
Choose a project where you had to answer a question using evidence. Explain the question, your method, the assumptions you made and the limits of your conclusion. A strong example does not require a prestigious employer; a carefully explained dissertation or coursework analysis can show how you think.
For modelling work, explain how you checked inputs and tested whether your conclusion changed under different assumptions. For research, describe how you judged whether a source was relevant and reliable. Keep the distinction between correlation and causation clear.
Practise explaining the same finding in a short written paragraph and a simple chart. The purpose is to make your reasoning understandable to someone who did not build the model. Do not include confidential client data in an application sample. These are editorial preparation suggestions, not additional requirements from FTI.
