Background & Job Description

The UNDP–COFACT Media Fellowship on Digital Peacebuilding for Women Journalists is an 11-month capacity-building and mentorship programme running from October 2026 to August 2027.

Tasks

Selected fellows will participate in practical workshops, mentorship and editorial guidance. The programme will focus on identifying and fact-checking misinformation and disinformation, understanding human security, and developing counter-narratives to harmful online content.

Participants will also explore five dimensions of human security: economic, personal, health, environmental and community security.

During the fellowship, each participant will be expected to produce and publish three journalistic stories covering three of the five human security dimensions. The programme will provide funding support for developing and publishing these stories.
