UNICEF is inviting experienced climate and sustainability professionals to apply for a Climate Resilience Consultant opportunity based in Tbilisi, Georgia. About the Consultancy

Key Responsibilities
The selected consultant will:
Design Training Modules
Develop introductory learning materials covering:
- Climate change and climate resilience
- Carbon footprints and sustainable lifestyles
- Green transition
- Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
- Community resilience
- Sustainable teaching practices
- Climate education for social workers and teachers
Training materials should be practical, accessible, and adapted for non-specialist audiences.
Prepare Training Resources
Produce a complete training package including:
- PowerPoint presentations
- Facilitator guides
- Participant handbooks
- Reading materials
- Practical exercises
Deliver Training
Conduct five interactive half-day training sessions using participatory learning approaches that encourage discussion and practical application.
Curriculum Integration
Support lecturers by:
- Identifying opportunities to integrate climate resilience into existing university curricula
- Adapting materials for different academic programmes
- Providing guidance for future classroom implementation
Expected Deliverables
The consultant will submit:
- Training curriculum and outline
- Complete training materials package
- Delivery of five training sessions
- Final project report with recommendations and participant feedback
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Climate Science, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Disaster Risk Management, or a closely related field
Required Experience
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience in climate change, sustainability, or disaster risk reduction
- Knowledge of climate vulnerabilities and local environmental issues
- Experience designing or delivering training programmes
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialist audiences
Experience working with teachers, universities, or social workers is considered an advantage.
