Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the WASH Specialist, the Programme Associate will provide technical, programme, and administrative support to facilitate effective implementation and monitoring of UNICEF programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting project management and implementing partner coordination
- Assisting programme implementation and operational activities
- Monitoring budgets, grants, and financial reporting
- Supporting digital innovation and operational efficiency
- Preparing programme reports and documentation
- Managing programme data and analysis
- Supporting communication and knowledge sharing
- Coordinating meetings, workshops, and capacity-building activities
- Providing surge support during humanitarian responses and emergencies
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Education
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for three years of work experience.
- A Master’s degree may substitute for an additional two years of experience.
Work Experience
Applicants should possess at least six years of relevant professional experience in areas such as:
- Programme management
- Programme support
- Administration
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Implementing partner management
- Project management
- Data management
- Clerical or administrative support
Required Skills
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Budget monitoring skills
- Strong analytical abilities
- Microsoft Office proficiency

Language Requirements
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Pijin or another official United Nations language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is considered an asset.
