About the Internship
OCHA coordinates humanitarian actors to support coherent responses to emergencies and disasters.
The intern will work within the Strategic Prioritization and Practices Branch (SPPB), specifically the Humanitarian Programme Cycle Section. The work supports humanitarian response monitoring and the use of Humanitarian Programme Cycle tools.
The internship may involve research, analysis, information management, preparation of documents and support for meetings and humanitarian coordination activities.
Key Tasks
The intern may:
- Support country and regional offices with response monitoring.
- Assist with data collection and analysis.
- Identify trends and patterns in humanitarian response data.
- Help manage databases and content management systems.
- Support the management of population figures, including People in Need, People Targeted, People Reached and People Covered.
- Recover, review and clean historical humanitarian response plan data.
- Manage spreadsheets and other data tools.
- Conduct literature reviews and desk research.
- Help produce reports, charts and other information products.
- Turn humanitarian data into graphical and analytical products.

Eligibility and Qualifications
