What the Role Involves

The Recruitment Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a Recruitment Associate and overall guidance of a Recruitment Analyst. The role supports transparent, accurate and consistent recruitment services for country offices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Reviewing recruitment requests and vacancy announcements.
  • Supporting applicant screening and candidate evaluations.
  • Gathering candidate references.
  • Organising interview panels.
  • Supporting candidate selection and approvals.
  • Communicating with candidates about application outcomes.
  • Preparing recruitment analytics reports.
  • Maintaining recruitment tracking systems.
  • Managing recruitment data in official databases such as UNall and Quantum.
  • Maintaining candidate rosters.
  • Supporting recruitment training and knowledge management.
  • Contributing to recruitment procedures and standard operating processes.

Qualifications and Experience

UNDP requires secondary education. A university degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations or a related field will be considered an advantage, although it is not mandatory.

  • Five years of relevant HR or administrative experience with a high school diploma; or
  • Two years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
