ClimateWorks Foundation is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager, Industry to help accelerate global industrial decarbonization and clean energy transformation. This fully remote, globally flexible role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact grantmaking, strategic partnerships, and climate initiatives focused on the steel sector and clean energy infrastructure.

Working through the Global Industry Hub (GIH), the successful candidate will collaborate with governments, philanthropic organizations, businesses, and civil society partners to support the transition toward low-carbon heavy industries and sustainable economic development.

About the Global Industry Hub

The Global Industry Hub, fiscally sponsored by ClimateWorks Foundation, mobilizes philanthropic and blended finance to accelerate the decarbonization of heavy industries, particularly:

  • Iron and steel
  • Cement
  • Chemicals

The Hub works with governments, funders, development partners, industry leaders, and civil society organizations to create investable pathways for industrial transformation while supporting global climate goals.

Remote Work Location

This position offers a flexible global location with remote work supported by periodic in-person collaboration and international travel.

Applicants must be able to work within approximately two hours of Central European Time (CET) to facilitate coordination with partners across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Strategic Climate Programmes

The successful candidate will:

  • Co-develop long-term programme strategies
  • Support industrial decarbonization initiatives
  • Identify high-impact grant opportunities
  • Guide multi-year programme planning
  • Support fundraising strategies
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership

Manage Climate Grantmaking
