About the Role
The WHO programme aims to ensure that children and other high-risk groups are fully immunized with effective vaccines.
It also supports vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, routine immunization, equitable access to immunization services, introduction of new vaccines and efforts to maintain a polio-free status and achieve measles elimination.
The Technical Officer will work with the Ministry of Health, WHO teams and partners to strengthen immunization and disease surveillance activities.

A postgraduate degree in epidemiology, public health, nursing or midwifery is desirable.
Experience
Applicants need at least five years of relevant public health experience at national or sub-national level in low- and middle-income countries.
At least four years of this experience should be in areas such as:
