Background & Job Description
UNICEF India is strengthening its education financing agenda to support adequate, equitable and efficient public financing for school education.
The consultant will contribute to UNICEF India’s Education Financing Strategy and provide technical expertise across public financial management, education financing analysis, capacity strengthening, quality assurance and policy development.
Tasks
The consultancy covers four main areas:
- Provide technical inputs on public financial management and education financing and support implementation of UNICEF India’s Education Financing Strategy.
- Support the adaptation and contextualization of education financing capacity-strengthening programmes, including India-specific cases and practical applications.
- Provide independent technical review and quality assurance for a study examining efficiency and equity in budget execution under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme.
- Conduct education financing analysis and translate evidence into policy, knowledge and stakeholder engagement products.
