About the Role
The position is part of the OECD’s Medical and Social Hub, which forms part of the Human Resources Management Service.
Working under the supervision of the co-ordinator nurse and doctor responsible for the Medical and Social Hub, the selected candidate will provide nursing services to OECD staff and contribute to workplace health, safety and health-promotion activities.
The role will involve working across the OECD’s La Muette and/or Boulogne sites according to the weekly schedule.
Main Responsibilities
Nursing Care
The successful candidate will provide medical treatment prescribed by the Organisation’s doctor, within the applicable professional and legal requirements.
Duties include:
- Injections and vaccinations.
- Dressings.
- Blood sample collection.
- Vision and hearing tests.
- Urine tests.
- Electrocardiograms.
- Other nursing treatments.
- Providing advice and directing staff to specialists or hospitals when required.
Administrative Activities
The nurse will assist with administrative tasks related to medical records and appointments and help manage the generic medical-service email account.
Emergency Response
The role includes assessing medical emergencies and taking appropriate action, including providing immediate treatment, informing the doctor or requesting emergency medical services in Paris.
The nurse may also treat individuals or arrange evacuation according to the Medical Service’s established protocols.
Health Promotion
The successful candidate will help promote good health among OECD staff by responding to individual requests and preparing educational materials on selected medical topics.
