What the Fellowship Supports

The KCFP Undergraduate Fellowship provides support for students undertaking approved undergraduate programmes at participating host universities.

The fellowship includes:

Other Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be due to commence undergraduate study between January and December 2027.
  • Not already hold a higher education qualification, including a bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification.
  • Select an undergraduate programme from the approved programmes advertised for their chosen host university.
  • Study at a KCFP-approved host university in their home country where one is available.
  • If no approved host university exists in their home country, study at an approved university within their immediate region.

Applications for programmes that are not included in the published approved list will not be considered.

Applicants from Kiribati, Nauru, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu can apply for:

Papua New Guinea University of Technology

Seven Ringfenced Fellowships

  • Kiribati
  • Nauru
  • Samoa
  • Tonga
  • Tuvalu

Applicants from these seven countries will also be considered in the open competition if they meet the eligibility requirements.

Four Open Competition Fellowships

Four fellowships are open to applicants from all 24 eligible Commonwealth SIDS.

The ACU particularly encourages applications from people belonging to indigenous communities. However, indigenous community membership is not an eligibility requirement.
