What the programme offers

Graduates join the national tax technology team, using software, data and AI to support tax services. Listed tools include Alteryx, Power BI and Microsoft Copilot. Training includes ATT Foundations and the Diploma in Tax Technology, alongside paid study leave, coaching and mentoring.

Who can apply?

Applicants need an achieved or predicted honours degree and the advertised school-level qualifications: 112 UCAS points across three A levels or the specified equivalent, with separate Scottish and Irish routes. General Studies, AS levels and EPQ are excluded. Travel to clients and other offices is required. Previous tax study is not essential.

How to demonstrate your fit

Choose an example in which you improved the reliability or usability of information. This could be a university spreadsheet, a society budget or a work project. Explain the original problem, the checks you performed and how another person used the result. Avoid describing a tool as a skill without showing what you accomplished with it.

For a data project, be ready to discuss missing values, duplicate records and how you checked your output. For an AI-assisted task, explain what you verified yourself. These examples can help you communicate judgement alongside enthusiasm for technology; they are preparation suggestions, not additional employer requirements.

Application checklist

Check the academic and permanent-work-rights conditions first. Then prepare accurate education dates, qualification results and examples of digital problem-solving. Follow the portal’s document requests; the public advert does not provide a complete mandatory document list. Keep a copy of the vacancy and your submitted answers for interview preparation.

RSM considers one application per person in each recruitment cycle. Compare the available pathways before submitting, and avoid treating several applications as a way to improve your chances.
