About the Internship

UNDP China works with national and international partners to advance sustainable development, support an inclusive low-carbon economy, protect biodiversity and promote progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

The intern will support the Communications, Innovation and Partnerships team in increasing awareness of UNDP’s work through multilingual communications, media engagement and digital content.

Key Responsibilities

The selected intern will support the team through English-to-Chinese and Chinese-to-English translation and interpreting.

Responsibilities include translating press releases, speeches, opinion articles, project documents, reports and other publications.

The intern will also help monitor media coverage, prepare media summaries, create content for platforms such as Weibo and WeChat, develop communication materials and prepare research notes and presentations.

Additional duties include supporting press conferences, events, video production and other communications activities as assigned by the supervisor.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following UNDP internship eligibility conditions:

  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme, such as a Master’s degree or higher.
  • Be in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
