The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) is recruiting Graduate Ellison Scholars for October 2027 entry at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. This is a research doctorate opportunity, with scholars contributing to EIT projects alongside their DPhil studies.
Funding and research fit
The award covers doctoral course fees and a living stipend. EIT also provides research facilities, mentorship and access to interdisciplinary teams. A numeric stipend rate has not been published in the announcement.
Applicants need to meet their Oxford course’s entry requirements and demonstrate strong academic achievement, relevant research experience and a convincing fit with an EIT project. A master’s degree is required only where the chosen Oxford course requires it.
How to apply
- Review the published research areas and project requirements before choosing an application route.
- For the main EIT portal, prepare the requested academic and research information and explain your proposed contribution. Follow the portal’s document checklist.
- Submit by 1 December 2026 at 17:00 UK time (GMT).
The main portal covers Pathogen Programme, Materials & Devices for Life Sciences, Plant Biology and Economics projects. Other EIT-funded routes can have different procedures. Selected candidates receive conditional funding offers and must succeed in Oxford’s separate admissions process.
