PwC offers more than 400 paid summer internships across the UK for 2027. Lasting four to eight weeks, the programme gives students an opportunity to explore professional services before completing their studies.

Who qualifies?
Applicants should be in their penultimate undergraduate year, or their final year with a confirmed one-year postgraduate place. Most pathways accept different degree subjects, but some have specialist requirements.
Experience and benefits
The programme includes induction, training and live client work. A later graduate offer is possible but depends on performance, availability and eligibility. Most work takes place in an office or at a client site.
Choose offices within commuting distance: PwC says travel and hotel costs cannot be expensed. Neither office nor business-area preferences are guaranteed.
Choose a pathway thoughtfully
Compare the work involved in each business area before choosing. Think about whether you most enjoy analysing information, explaining ideas, investigating systems or understanding how organisations make decisions. Find a specific example that supports your preference.
A short internship is also a chance to test a career choice. Write down what you want to learn about the work, the study commitments of a later graduate role and the everyday skills used by the team. These questions can make conversations with recruiters more useful.
Application preparation
Read the chosen advert for academic and UK work-rights conditions. Prepare accurate education dates, your expected graduation date and the information requested by the application form. If you rely on a postgraduate place to qualify, check what evidence is required.
PwC describes online assessment, a video interview and a virtual assessment centre. Practise explaining how you approach unfamiliar tasks, collaborate and check your work. Use examples you can discuss honestly rather than trying to predict a supposedly perfect answer.
Budget for travel and accommodation before selecting an office. A paid placement may still require upfront costs, and a potential graduate offer should not be treated as guaranteed employment.
