Sciences Po’s Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program supports selected African applicants undertaking eligible two-year master’s degrees. Its funding overview confirms tuition and living-cost coverage throughout study, alongside mentoring, careers guidance and support with settling in.
Who qualifies?
Candidates need African citizenship without an additional non-African citizenship, must be under 35 on 1 September of the application year, and cannot hold or be pursuing a master’s degree. First-time scholarship applicants only.
A bachelor’s qualification must meet one of three routes: a listed institution, an approved bridge/mentoring programme, or current/former UNHCR refugee status. Academic thresholds also apply. Current Sciences Po students and people studying at or graduating from French higher-education institutions are excluded.
Deadlines and application
The scholarship deadlines are 23 November or 14 December 2026, linked to different admission-decision schedules. Scholarship results follow in April 2027.
Submit the scholarship eligibility request and create a master’s admissions application simultaneously. Eligible candidates receive fee-waiver instructions; follow the subsequent submission deadline exactly. Admission does not guarantee funding.
Read the full current requirements and official application links. Dual degrees and one-year master’s programmes are excluded.
