The ACOR Amman Prize 2027 postgraduate/professional category offers one expected award for a two-to-four-month research residence in Jordan.
Funding and eligibility
The official prize description sets a package worth up to US$25,000, including US$5,000 for research and travel, a monthly stipend, and room and board at ACOR. Accommodation is part of that total.
Applicants may be of any nationality, must have completed formal study and must not currently be enrolled. An advanced degree is not required, but a record of significant scholarly or creative work is expected. The project must principally concern Jordan or Syria. Recipients of ACOR fellowships within the previous five years are ineligible.
How to apply
Use the postgraduate/professional application. Prepare a proposal of up to 2,000 words, excluding bibliography, relevant supporting documents and two referees’ contact details. Recommendation letters are not required for this category.
Deadline: 15 February 2027. Residence at ACOR is compulsory, and awards remain subject to funding and review.
