Nalafem is inviting applications for the I AM NALA Fellowship, supporting African women affected by displacement who are already contributing to leadership or want to develop that contribution.

Benefits and support
The programme offers mentorship, training, technical support and opportunities for dialogue with experienced leaders. Online sessions are central, with possible in-person engagements. The application form does not specify a universal cash stipend.
Who can apply?
Applicants must be African women aged 18–40 who are refugees, internally displaced, displaced or stateless, including displaced Africans in the diaspora. The programme seeks aspiring or current political leaders, campaigners and women engaged in peacebuilding or collective action who embrace Nalafem’s values.

Describe one situation in which you helped people work towards a shared goal. Explain the challenge, what you personally did and what changed. Formal titles are not the only way to demonstrate leadership; a clear account of community work can also show responsibility and judgement. Check that document links can be opened by the intended reviewers. Share personal information through the official application channel and avoid placing sensitive records in a public portfolio.
