Background & Job Description
The role is part of CRS’s RAPID humanitarian emergency response initiative, which supports timely assistance during sudden shocks and protracted emergencies.
The Technical Advisor provides deployable technical and operational support to emergency responses and works with CRS teams to strengthen operational functions. These include procurement, logistics, supply chain, human resources, finance, security, ICT, administration and fleet management.

- Providing rapid operational support during humanitarian emergencies.

Qualifications
Education and Certification

Experience
The basic requirements include:
- At least 5 years of experience supporting or managing humanitarian operations in the field.
- Demonstrated field management experience with an international NGO.
- Experience integrating cross-cutting themes such as protection, gender, capacity strengthening and governance.
Experience with humanitarian supply chain setup and management is preferred. Partnership experience is also desirable, while ICT/GIS familiarity is an asset.
Skills
Applicants should have knowledge of emergency coordination mechanisms, humanitarian procurement and logistics, warehousing, donor compliance and emergency field operations.
The role also requires strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, independent judgment, flexibility in stressful environments, leadership ability and strong Microsoft Office skills.
Language Requirements
English and French proficiency, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
Travel Requirements
