Crawley Borough Council Grants Provide Up to £50,000 for Community Projects

Crawley Strategic Grants 2027–28 offer between £5,000 and £50,000 for projects and services benefiting local residents. The round opened on 2 November 2026.

Who can apply?

Registered charities, community interest companies and eligible voluntary or community groups can apply, including partnerships. The funding policy requires an organisational bank account, suitable governance and relevant policies. At least 80% of the activity’s beneficiaries must live in Crawley.

Individuals, private companies, public-sector providers and organisations with income or expenditure above £6 million are among the exclusions. Read the complete criteria, including rules concerning existing council funding.

What the grant can support

Funding can contribute to eligible project or service costs, including staffing, premises, equipment and administration. Most awards cover one year; longer support requires a suitable service specification and development plan.

How to apply

The official programme page asks organisations to discuss proposals with community.grants@crawley.gov.uk before submitting. Make this enquiry early, then follow the guidance and online application route.

Prepare a realistic budget, evidence of local need, expected outcomes, milestones and information about other funding. Explain how residents were consulted and how the service complements existing local provision.

Deadline

11 December 2026 at 11:59 p.m. The page does not expressly label the timezone. Decisions are expected in March 2027, with funding beginning in April. Late submissions will not be considered.
