Preparing a focused application
Independent Opportunities Feed guidance: choose one example that shows how you researched a complicated issue and explained it clearly. A university project, volunteering assignment or student publication may help demonstrate your approach. State your own contribution rather than relying on a list of generic strengths.
Before applying, consider how a Brussels-based placement fits your finances and availability. If shortlisted, ask about the payment amount, proposed start date and practical working arrangements before making commitments. Keep a copy of your submitted documents and check that the attachments open correctly.
