ACLU Internship Pays Up to US$24 an Hour with Remote and Hybrid Options

The ACLU is accepting applications for its Spring 2027 Affiliate Support and Nationwide Initiatives Program and Strategy internship. Pay is US$20 an hour for undergraduates and US$24 for graduate or law students.

Schedule and eligibility

The placement lasts ten consecutive weeks at 35 hours weekly, starting January 11 or January 25, 2027. Remote work must be performed within the United States; the hybrid option is based at the New York national office.

Applicants must be enrolled graduate students or undergraduates becoming seniors in autumn 2027. Lawful work authorization and a connection to formal education through coursework or academic credit are required.

Work and application requirements

Duties include project coordination, meeting support, research resources and surveys. Administrative experience, office-software skills and clear communication are relevant.

Submit a CV and cover letter through the official ACLU vacancy and application form. The priority deadline is 15 November 2026; review continues until the posting closes. The employer asks candidates not to use AI to generate application materials, with an accommodation route available.

Before committing

Independent editorial guidance: confirm that your university can approve the placement and that the weekly commitment fits your studies. Remote describes the working arrangement, not permission to work from any country. Check your authorization and location before spending time on an application.
